About Ziplines

Zip line canopy tours are a custom designed series of zip cables and platforms allowing your quests the freedom of traveling through the tree tops at a great speed. The length of the zip lines may vary from 70′ to 2,500′ or more and may take you high off the ground as you go through the course. Some tours will add Canopy Walkways or other styles of traversing or ascending and descending components to enhance the tour. Commercial Zipline Tours were popularized more than a decade ago in Costa Rica after evolving from a research tool used by scientists studying the forest canopy. Over the last few years they have quickly become one of the fastest growing attractions in the Unites States & in tourist destinations around the world.

Zipline Adventure Tours is a U.S. based company with locations in New Hampshire and New York as well as Jamaica. The partners bring their expertise from varying backgrounds in zipline construction and inspection, summer camp operations, corporate team building and guided snowmobile tours. The first commercial zipline canopy tour on the east coast open to the public was started at Alpine Adventures in New Hampshire in 2005. New York Zipline Adventures opened in June of 2010 at Hunter Mountain Ski Bowl and boasts the longest and highest zipline canopy tour in the U.S. Jamaica Zipline Adventure Tours opened in 2008 with the longest zipline in the Caribbean.     Our popularity continues to grow into 2011 with our frequent customer referrals for our fabulous Jamaican staff and thrilling, personalized tours. Alpine Adventures opened the first, longest, highest and fastest Zipline Canopy Tour in New England in 2006 and continues to lead the way in the outdoor adventure industry. Located in the beautiful White Mountains of NH near Loon Mountain, the original Zipline “Tree-top Canopy tour” was an instant hit. The follow up "Sky Rider" Zipline tour opened in 2008 and again raised the bar for Zipline Canopy Tours...with side by side racing zips and longer, higher lines than any other tour.   In 2010 & 2011 the expansion continued with the construction of the "Thrillsville" Aerial Fun Park and another addition to the family of award winning Zipline tours...the Super SkyRider Tour (yes...think longer, higher and faster ziplines than any other tour).
